Alan was formally introduced to physical therapy after suffering a torn ACL and dislocated patella early in college. This exposure led him to pursue a career in Physical Therapy to be able to help others live without pain and remain active. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from CSU Long Beach in 2008, Alan went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2011 from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.
After graduating PT school, Alan has worked in outpatient clinics in the Modesto/Ceres area for the past 9 years before joining the BioSport team. His primary experience has been in outpatient orthopedics treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. Always wanting to continue to learn and improve his skills, he has attended different continuing education courses/conferences and became a Certified RockDoc after completing both Functional Movement Techniques (FMT) Basic and Performance through RockTape. Alan is also certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and IASTM techniques.
When he is not treating patients, Alan is enjoying life with his wife and three daughters, working out at GetFit Modesto, and going to church at Shelter Cove.
